Aphrodisiacs – Delicious Tastes & Sensual Scents

This is the first post in a three-part series from the Sara’s Secret and Condoms to Go Exclusive Event on September 25th entitled “Aphrodisiacs”.  Each week I will dive deep into specific subtopics for more detailed information and resources.   This week:  Aphrodisiacs – Delicious Tastes & Sensual Scents.

Aphrodisiacs – Spark Arousal & Boost Pleasure for All 5 Senses

Delicious Tastes, Sensual Scents, Provocative Caresses, Passionate Sounds, Seductive Visions

If you weren’t able to join us for this playful event, you really missed out!!!

We all had a fascinating evening creating a personal Aphrodisiac experience for everyone who attended.  Most of us think of an aphrodisiac as something that can enhance pleasure.

We are going to create an entire aphrodisiac experience!  The third part of this series is exciting so keep reading!

The word aphrodisiac comes from the Greek Goddess of Love – Aphrodite.  The term is not new.  We are going to explore ways to include more than just one area, sense or product.

The adventure lies in discovering exactly what is a turn on for you and for your partner.  If you have similar things, even better!

Taste and smell are so closely related that as we get older, our sense of smell deteriorates.  Our sense of taste decreases as well.  Many older adults lose their appetite due to sense of smell beginning to fade.  How can we incorporate these two senses to bring us the most pleasure?  Read on…

Taste Facts

Did you know 80% of what we taste is actually smell?
Memories affect taste
50% of our taste receptors are gone by the age of 20
There are five elements of taste:  salty, sour, bitter, sweet and savory

So how does taste translate into aphrodisiacs?  Certain tastes can make our mouth water.  Other tastes can make our mouth pucker.  Think about the following flavors:  maple, caramel, salted caramel, vanilla, cinnamon chocolate, cherry.  Can you conjure up a smell along with the taste?  These were some of the flavors selected by attendees.  What is interesting is they correspond with some of the top naturally erotic scents described on this post from Thought Catalog.

Smell Facts:

You actually smell with your brain
Scents can trigger memories
75% of emotions are triggered by smell
A person’s smell is unique as their fingerprints
When we fall in love – we fall in love with first smell (not sight)

Smells that made the attendee’s lists were: tropical, chocolate / vanilla combination, sweet almond and amber.  This short article covers some fragrances that women like (from a man’s perspective) so girls pay attention (this means guys like them too)!

Let’s talk about some products that will tempt both taste and smell.

I LOVE the Dona by JO and JO product lines.  They are aphrodisiac and pheromone infused as well as vegan and gluten free.

JO Gelato is a flavored water-based personal lubricant designed to enhance foreplay and comfort of intimacy) in super yummy flavors: Mint Chocolate (my personal favorite), Salted Caramel and Tiramisu

Very interesting! I’ve used Kama Sutra since the early ’70s. I especially liked their Cinnamon oil! It was not only a lubricant, but had delicious flavor and a warming stimulate effect.
